Advice on clothing please

Guys , a girl I went out with 40 years ago , and I have got back together .

But being older , and apparently more sensible , tee shirt and denims are not really a good set of riding kit any more .. ( we lived in Durban back then ... )

Having been a solo rider for so long , I don't know who sells decent kit for ladies .

We need to get her some decent kit , going the ebay way we seem to be getting about 80% cr@p ....

Where is a decent supplier of ladies touring kit within reasonable range of Ross on Wye , where we can walk into a shop , have a look , try on and buy .

Also , what recommendations on quiet helmets .

I want to buy a blue tooth helmet to helmet comms .

I need advices , etc please , best helmets , and blue tooth comms please .

On helmets depends on your budget but the main makes are all good but trying on is a must for fit and comfort, I'm wearing I Schuberth C3pro very quiet and the comms fit the best of all lids, pricey but they do a specific ladies version, I don't know who would be your most local dealer.

Only place I know Gerry that I can recommend is J&S Accessories.

Their largest site is near to me in Northwich, which is a couple of hours ride for you up the A49, but they are all over the country.

THEN go to the nice lingerie boutique and spend some proper dosh on stuff she and yourself may appreciate for Sexy time.

Great video, and a reminder to us all that even the best kit only really protects us from abrasion type injuries.
Usually, on the road, impact with a solid object will become an issue long before gravel rash, and of course nothing can really protect us from broken bones and internal injuries.

They closed their shops but kept trading online and have an outlet too

£ shops I think - outlet in fens area (I think) the Glasgow shop was still trading but haven't checked it out for a while and I think another in Ireland - but I could be wrong cos I usually am. Could be an excuse for a German trip tho!!

So they just abandoned the high street and have taken the business on line.
A sadly familiar story, although I suppose it makes business sense.
A dealer was telling me recently that he reckons in the near future there will be no independent dealers.
Importers will operate warehouse type showroom operations, somewhere central, and everything will be done on line.
You'll agree a deal on the websites, take your part exchange up to wherever the operation is, and collect your new bike, or they'll deliver and collect at extra cost.
The trade in's will be offered out to the trade and current franchised dealers will operate as parts suppliers, workshops for servicing and warranty, as well as approved used bike sales.
I can see it working.
After all, the internet has made the world a much smaller place.
Dealer loyalty and buying locally is pretty much a thing of the past now anyway.
Most dealerships do deals over the phone and deliver all over the country, so what's the difference, except that without the middle men, bikes will probably come down in price.

I don't think they chose to abandon the high street, the UK entity went into administration. Nothing at all that legally affected the German parent, hence Hein Gericke gear is still available.

Many stores were picked up by J and S, such as my nearest one in Leicester.

I a man pretty lucky where I am. I have Moto central just up the road, J and S not far away, plus some interesting independents. A hipsterish place has just opened in the next village selling some high end brands online and via their shop. They are young guys, very active on social media and trying to create a club atmosphere with events and ride outs from the store.
