Breaking R1100S

Post by Pete. »

I've decided to break up my R1100S. It's a 2002 43800 miles CatB write off so the frame will not be for sale. It wasn't a bad accident but there are broken frame lugs which caused the cat B. Most of the bodywork has marks either from the accident or from storage and all the lights bar the tail light are damaged. There are no ABS parts it was removed by the previous owner.
To comply with forum rules I'm putting price here for the major components. The photos are how the bike is standing right now.

Engine - bare unit with TB's and injectors, headers (removed so you know the studs are intact, all the exhaust, airbox, ECU, pump, tank. You CAN hear this running in the bike currently, if I get time I'll make a video. Doesn't include the alternator, the starter or the clutch. There's some marks on the RH rocker cover but it is intact and holds oil. £350 all of it.

Gearbox £150 to be revised if the splines are poorly when it's removed.

Final drive (ABS sensor type) £70 NOTE: not a direct fit-up to the paralever you will have to strip it and swap the bits over. I converted it to ball bearing pivots but I never got round to making the two large nuts so it's unfinished.

Both wheels with good disks but barely legal tyres these are the wider wheels £180

Front braking system complete £25 has had absectomy.

RH engine protector as seen in the pic £15

Illemberger carbon hugger no cracks but not the best example comes with the two extension nuts to mount £25

Home made centre stand with pivot bushes and spring £35 has more lift for the yellow shock bikes

Clocks £60 come with working time clock.

Full set of locks with one genuine key and one blank key for cutting £70

All items are collect from Gravesend or you pay shipping. Hermes for up to their 15kg limit or you arrange courier for the bigger stuff. Opinions/questions welcome. Want photos of specific items please ask. If you want any thing not listed please mention and I'll put a price to it. Please put your interest IN THIS THREAD to avoid confusion or disappointment.

Cash please for collected stuff, Paypal gift for postal items. Will consider bank transfer.

Mr Charrington - I would post the hugger but I read it would cost more than to buy. If you're still interested I'll get you a pic first then a postal quote. Sorry but I have no useable mirrors.

Big Rob - The right fork slider had a small ding in the top edge from the accident where the subframe squashed it. I'll get you a pic , there's a fair chance I would be able to press it out. Let me know exactly how much of the assembly you need and I'll fix a price.

Ok guys I have inspected the hugger and it's not in sellable condition. Sorry for not checking it more carefully before offering it for sale.

Hi Pete, I was looking for both Fork sliders, stanchions, axle & lower Fork Bridge. The RH fork slider I already have is damaged too so was looking for undamaged parts to replace.
Thanks,
Rob.

Hi,

The mudguard is complete but has been crunched so has a fairly large spiders-web crack in it. I wouldn't say that it was in a condition fit for selling.

What condition is the RH indicator pod in?

Mine is cracked and would be interested if yours is unmarked.

Thanks

Hi, I'm interested in the wider rear wheel if it's still available. Could you let me know about the exhaust too - nevermind, just spotted it's included with the engine.

Thanks
Kevin
