It is indeed a thing of great beauty. I saw one in the Moto Guzzi Museum at the factory by Lake Como. It's even nicer in the metal than the picture shows.

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Aye it is nice, but £20k ?? I could think of more appreciative bikes to invest in for less money. It is an oddity nothing more and aside from that you can not show it off on the road.

Love it all the same and would like to own one.

It ain`t gonna happen.

Agree it's a shame it's not a road bike Chris, and yes, £20K is an awful lot of money. Then you look at well used BCRs up for north of £10k - £10k  for a stock R11S with fancy clothes (oh, and a pipe). I think these Guzzis are a little thinner on the ground too. With the quality components used they are more fairly compared with the dear old HP2S, which are again a little easier to find and not a lot less money. Just sayin, like...

The Guzzi fraternity have been putting pressure on Piaggio to produce a full on road orientated sports big twin for years, but strangely, they just won't.
It's up to the smaller specialist conversion companies to oblige.
These from Ghezzi Brian.
The first is built around an old V11, and the second is a Griso.
I think they're rather splendid

I bet it's a pig to ride on the road though.
I mean anything designed solely for the track isn't exactly going to be well mannered in traffic.

Agreed. I think the Griso is less attractive than the standard bike.

That's a bit like when you are alone with your wife compared to when you are out shopping with her and your head is turning to look at all the pretty girls. (Hope she doesn't read this). [smilie=giveup.gif]
