Eastern European Bikes - or - they ploughed their own furrow behind the iron curtain

I posted this link on another thread but stated scrolling through the posts and decided it needed greater exposure- some real design "classics" and certainly the designs followed a different paths to the rest of Europe and Japan .

See if you can scroll far enough to get to the Jawa 500 flat twin .
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

In October last year I met up with some Reoc/ VMCC riders in Northern Ireland, there was a nice selection or East German Bikes available..

Cheers Nigel :thumbleft:

Quite a mixture of bikes there. That ETZ is super clean.

I'm strangely drawn to this.
I had one when I was young and hated it, but now

This is in Porlock for sale, soz about the picture quality, but it's behind glass and the shop was shut

Funny old combo which I always liked, old mate of mine used to collect and restore the Trophy amongst other things and one of the last bikes I ever saw at his place was this pairing, infact it's possible it is the same
