Never had that problem Al , I move the bike from the right hand side into space and then switch to the left , I only do it in the garage but could see it being an issue "outdoors" especially if one is of the short variety! GerryB commented on me moving my 1100 from the right side when he came to buy it.

Abba chock stand, quickly delivered, assembled and deployed this pm.
Pleased with the result so far, it makes parking up close to the wall easy.
Bike is probably 18" closer to the wall, very valuable space saved in my garage.

I have a chock stand from abba needed this when bike fell of the abba stand with no back wheel-diff!kfrogzx7 wrote:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheel-Chock-CPR-BMW-R-1100-S-Front-Paddock-Stand-/282078597575?hash=item41ad31d1c7:g:1nsAAOSw3YNXbaLw
Has anybody got any thoughts / advice about these front wheel chock type stands, I wondering about one for the R11s in the garage after I've removed the centre stand ?
The video accompanying the above ebay item makes them look easy to use.
Are they easy to use, practical and safe ?
Thanks Simon.
