while we're on the topic...
Anyone had their clock reset itself for no apparant reason??
I was tazzing up the Farnborough bypass the other day and happened to glance at the clock after a prolonged high-speed run and the clock was readin 01:00 ..... at around 09:40am!
weird - I can only assume the power lead to it is slightly loose??? The bike was vibrating a bit....

RB,
On the S, the wires coming from the left hand fuse box can rub against the edge of the left hand relay box and cut the wires causing the clock, horn, accessory socket to fail intermittently at first and then permanently. I'm not sure how the wiring is routed on the Rockster, but it's probably worth a look to see if it has a similar design flaw causing wires to chafe/cut.

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

They are either side of the front fairing sub frame on the S (behind headlamp) but the Rockster must be different without the fairing.RiceBurner wrote:is that under the seat? or somewhere else?Paul wrote:RB,
