Well that went well!
Ginny got knocked off her S1000RR today, she’s fine, couple of bruises but that’s it.
She stopped at a roundabout outside Taunton but the car behind didn’t, bumped her rear wheel and over it went.
I was completely unaware about all this until I noticed about an hour later that I had a ‘Bike Down’ alert from the tracker; I'm quick with things like this.
Called her mobile but rang out to the answer machine, tried again, same thing, tried again, same thing. An hour later and no answer, I was getting worried to say the least. She finally called back to say she was at CW’s and was fine.
Once the rest of the office had got me down from the ceiling, things returned to normal. At moments like that you really do get to realise what is important, I mean, I thought I’d have to get me own tea!
Not wishing to be out done in the throwing bikes up the road contest and needing to keep my stress level topped up, I through I’ll have a go this afternoon as well!
Got back from our new office in Aldgate (what was wrong with Paddington, ten mins on the bike!?) to the flat in Acton (that’s one side of London to the other for those who don’t live there) to find our neighbour had (again) parked half in my space and half in the other flats space, neither of which are hers but we like to be friendly and help out as she is doing up her house.
Got the Bandit squeezed in but missed my footing and down she went.
Fortunately, it landed on something soft, the R12 that was next to it.
Pushed that half over and onto the wall it was parked next to.
So, total score for the day:-
• One near heart attack.
• About 1K damage to the S1.
• And as for the R12 – scratched RHS mirror; stuffed RHS bar end; broken LHS rear indicator and, where the Bandits bar end and brake lever had a good rummage inside the R12, badly damaged paint work on the frame plus it seemed to run a little rough on the way home.
• Not a f…king mark on the bike that doubles in value every time I fill it up.
• One bruised misses
• One hurt wrist from dragging the Bandit off the R12, I swear it smiled when I got it off the BMW.
Whoopee f…king dooo

Gin was in Somerset and I was in London at the time so not a lot I could do!
Driver was very good about it, ever so sorry and very apologetic about it all, pretty much admitted it was his fault.
Now we all say where are the police when you need em and in this case, two cars back!
They were very helpful, checked out the drivers details and all legit so shouldn't be a problem with getting his insurance to cough up. They then gave him a half hour lesson on how to approach roundabouts
One useful piece of info they gave Ginny was no need to give phone numbers when this type of thing happens, in fact they recommend you do not, that goes for both party's. And certainly do not give out your mobile number, some people end up with a load of abuse over the phone, as happened to our daughter earlier in the year when she had a slow bump in Bristol. She's a big girl and told 'em to f..k off but still would rather it hadn't happened.
If you feel under pressure to give a number, then give your home number and change the last two or three numbers.
I must admit that the neighbour and me had words, she stuck her out the window to say she will move it, after I got the bikes back up. My reply was its a bit bloody late now! I'll see her again in the week and patch things up, no need to fall out with the neighbours about it, may need a favour from her sometime

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
