I'm with BvG. 'POLITE' vests are worn by wannabe idiots who usually spout the 'anything that makes you easier to spot...' bollocks. I can just get my head round horsey folk wearing them.....just.....because they're not really impersonating mounted police. But on bikers? Never, ever right. I give them all the 'wanker' wave.

Been done to death over on UKGSer, but BVG is a sanctimonious twat also (unless as postulated - that he makes a fcukload of cash with ads - based upon his "character")

I'd quite happily knock the pair of them - off....... into the bushes

TBQH I think he could do no worse than SOME police officers who do bad impersonations of police officers. Police Scotland is an absolute Joke. Fcuking useless. leave motorists to die in the verges, do not answer the phone, Millions spent annually on officers suspended on full pay. Wxxkxrs.
Too much of my rates is spent sponsoring "The Force" or is it now The "service"?

Dibble in the borders absolutely demoralised. been shafted thoroughly by shxte politicians and weak leadership.

Leave Polite man alone he rides a Gs, how on earth would you expect him to know better

Well, I for one sleep better knowing there are hoards of halfwit POLITE vest-wearing wannabes out there patrolling the streets.

Remind me to avoid Scotland. It sounds awful.

Just watched the vid and POLITE guy did look a plonker, but as BVG stated, it would have been worse if he was riding a white pan with a white helmet.

I imagine his wife bought him the POLITE vest for Xmas and he wears it for an easy life at home.

Oh I seeeeee!

God I must be thick! :D

Seen loads on these about and, having the amazing ability to read (can’t spell though) always read it as Polite Notice! Never for a moment thought it said Police or even looked like it did, maybe because it looks f**kall like a police bike!

I could never get my head round why saying Polite Notice, look out for bikes, was any better than just the Hi Viz. In fact, being told to do something by a complete stranger could piss people off….’’I don’t need some tw*t on a bike telling me to look out for bikes, I can see it’s a bloody bike’’ etc etc.

Or is it just me and Rodney Reason who think that?

Unless the phone-answerer didn't follow a set procedure in that case - then it is their procedure which lacks integrity.

Could be that no-one had audited their procedures and asked at each stage: "How do you ensure?"

Internal audits are fairly useless for this - as they tend to focus on "is the operator following the procedure?" rather than "Does the procedure require improvement?"

A bit of a stretch to condemn a force on the basis of a non-logged non-emergency call.

Ok I will come clean, The utility telecom provider for Police Scotland called to fix a problem... basically the response was "what problem" the reply was 4,000 + calls unanswered.

Tell the shortcomings of that to the bereaved.

I am not condemning the whole force (cough) just the idiots responsible.

I know it is off topic and the first response was clouded with "enthusiasm"

but lets not kid ourselves about the Integrity of individuals holding a position of trust and responsibility. Polite man is no better or worse than anyone else.
