1200SR rear brake

Post by 1200boxer »

My rear brake is ridiculous.I only use it to scrape speed off on bends but even then it's not any good.Is there any mod that might make it more effective?

Haven't got a 1200S so can't comment directly, but I did notice this post going on recently on Pelican, where they were trying to get a group buy together for the "Werner" R1200S rear brake kit. Might be worth having a look through this?

oops , thats the one ,, but looking at it , wouldnt a good clean up and a drop of graphite grease on the pivot do the same thing , file a grease grove like in old ford cargo stub pins to prevent seizing again...
maybe its better pads that are needed.

I'm the same..........

Any time I think it might make a difference - the rear is light, and I don't trust the "feel" I have - through the soles of my boot.

It might be the boots I wear (Sidi Vertigo), are you still riding in those ballet pumps, Steve?

See if that works .....
