Labour's the killer, so even doing at least the air cleaner and oil yourself is a saving.

Clutch life

Post by markw »

Hi

I bought a clutch at 100,000 miles thinking mine would be wearing out... I'm now passing 135,000 and the original clutch is still going fine. Bike does 125 miles a day on out of town roads, so I guess it gets an easy life.

Anyone remember the recent post (think Mr Parry was guilty of posting) about the independent dealer in The States saying the splines were to short on output shaft and the centre piece of the clutch was built up on their replacement clutch? If you do what are your thoughts?
