Has anybody on here used the MV made kit? Phil, the one you have fitted says it also moves the pegs back a bit which is the last thing I want but 50mm down with the MV ones might work. Rather take a punt on 150 euro`s and keep a bike that I am happy with instead of spending several thousand on a knew bike.

Before I bought my R11s I looked at ( and sat on ) one in Cambridge that had the Suburban Comfort kit fitted.
I found that the 1.57" lowering was too much if anything, it just felt wrong - the bar/seat/pegs relationship was messed up.
I reckon that a 2" drop would feel really excessive ?
It's surprising how little you need to lower the pegs to make a big difference and the bolt positions on the frame, I think, prevent a mid point lowering solution -- it's 1'57" / 2" or nothing I believe ?
I just wonder whether BM would have offered a lower peg option if it was workable as they did for the raised bars ?
I don't know, just my thoughts.
Good luck with it anyway ... got to keep the bike ... how about leg surgery ?
Having Knee surgery has caused the problem or rather not cured the leg problem, its pretty good for the rest of the stuff I do, sailing, walking, cycling etc but just cannot get comfy on the bike after about an hour which affects my concentration, which is not good.
Harry, there is a similar kit on the wunderlich site (13 or 40mm drop) and shows an extension piece for the gear lever and the brake master cylinder linkage plus an extension for the gear lever, I don`t have ABS so may be less hassle to fit. I think its worth a go as I enjoy the bike in all the other respects, I have no issues riding my 660 motard style bike as the knee bend angle is less than on the 11.

These are what I have fitted on my 1100s. They come in various lengths, can be adjusted through 360 degrees. I have set mine so my feet are lower and further forward. With my Handlebar conversion using a Speigler top yoke conversion and LSL bars I now have my perfect 1100s. Ok I could have traded in for maybe a GS, but at some cost given the price difference for comparable models.
I used to have a R1150R which was great apart from no wind protection, I now have very similar riding position as the 1150 but with the protection. I have to say its transformed the bike for me into a vey probable longterm keeper.

I know you were thinking of the GS or other route. If you want to try my bike out you are more then welcome.
Thanks Bry, I might take you up on your generous offer, not so much downward movement with your setup and with no mods to the gear/brake levers do you have any problems as distance between footrest and levers is smaller or longer depending on position.

No problems with brake or gear levers Al. I have size 9 dogs, I did,nt touch either of the levers from the previous set up.
I first went down the bars above the yokes, then I tried Bar-Backs. The Speigler top yoke and LSL bars is by far the better set-up for me, it feels far more natural. For me it looks as per factory rather than the Bar-Backs add-on look, but that's my opinion.
As I said please feel free to try my bike, at least you will know one way or another.
