Just activated my BT Sport account.
Very disappointed - quality of the video image is so bad I can't see me bothering to watch the races next year unless BT get their finger out and transmit far better quality.
Can't even read the captions and info never mind having a clear image.
What's more it has bloody adverts as well
Roll on it going back to the Beeb.

I need to do a bit of research when I get home I think. I am on BT broadband, so should have access to MotoGP for the future, but my internet connection is not the fastest. Have to see what I can access and how I can get it on the tellybox rather than the ipad.

Just spoken to somebody who's just watched it in BT Sport HD via a sky box, brilliant was the comment!

Did you watch via the Internet ?
Phil.

Phil

Yes it was via broadband and internet as I don't have sky and refuse to pay extra for it on the tv.
I can't stand football and don't need a load of tv channels that I won't watch.

So while it may be free to BT broadband users it is not worth watching.
Will ask for an explanation of the rubbish quality on the BT forum and report the answer on here if I get one.

I had a look on the the BT Sport app I installed a few days ago, and there were a couple of MotoGP items to watch. Unfortunately, the Crutchlow item was only a 60 second slo-mo clip, and there was another short 'best moments of 2013' clip.

But there is a full replay of the 2001 Valencia GP, so I will watch that later (it was before I got into MotoGP).

The picture quality on broadband is outstanding, so no probs there. The only thing is, I couldn't find a search option in the app, and there was nothing in the advertised replays related to the Crutchlow outing, other than the 60 second clip.

It's only for MotoGP that I've bothered with the BT Sport app (and I am a customer so it's free, otherwise, I would be well peed orf).

I'm well brassed off, I have a BT home phone line, with a BT Business broadband connection running on it and apparently I can't have BT Sport 'cos it has to be BT Home broadband :(

That's bad Steve. Perhaps you could offer to take your business elsewhere, and see if that helps. It seldom works for me, but my daughter in law is brilliant at squeezing concessions and free add-ons out of service providers.

Thing is nowhere on their advertising does it say you have to have a BT HOME connection, just a BT connection, to rub salt into the wound the business connections dearer than the home one too :)

I assume the business connection comes with guarantees regarding bandwidth and quality - something which would be compromised by people watching HD sport all day long!

I have a BT home connection and it often drops back the quality on MS conference calls - I get a 'quality warning' on Communicator.

That's interesting, I'm not going to pay £12 month for 18 races, but I may have a way to watch on the intertity, got a bit of research to do, and a rather large favour to ask a mate!

There's lots of talk about BT sport with BT business broadband on the forums, Karen's salon has it and to get BT sport it would cost £75 month for a none licensed premises, the only way to get it more cheaply is to tack it onto a Sky subscription for £12 month.
