In the car stuff I assume its mounted on the chin bar of his full face helmet. You really get a feel for the forces the driver goes through.
As for the on-bike vid I'm not sure the gyro camera really improves this or not. Looks almost unreal. Bloody quick boy though.

Arrhhhhh - was not known as The Green Hell for nought.
Forgetting for the moment that his GPS voice would have been calling:
"Ahead 300 into 5-left flat 200 3-right DC 100 Lights Rt to Bonn motorway and Aldi Wednesday Specials Next left to carpark ..."
I somehow think he wouldn't have been calling up hi-res maps to find the best line into the Caroussel ...
Just saying ...

Having driven the course so many times playing GT5 on me PS3 I can honestly say I can walk it with my eyes shut. No kiddin'. Would be safer for all concerned if all i did was just walk it mind.Hayden wrote:Impressive stuff, that said he does have the aid of a handy map on the steering wheel, so maybe not so difficult after all?

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Thats what I thought, I must have done literally hundreds of laps before I went with Greg ( DT ), it gives you an idea of whether the corner goes left or right and a hint at its severity, but that`s about it.
What you don`t get on the game is any idea of the change in elevation, which is vast, the on or off camber corners, the change in tarmac grip levels from corner to corner, the hidden bumps that throw you out the saddle and the dips in the surface that bottom out your suspension, that and the incredibly fast GT3s that you are always in the way of.
Other than that it really is piss easy....
