New Toy (not a bike)

I don`t think they are collectable as plenty about, the older T Bar MR2`s have a bit of a following but the roadsters are not special as far as I know, lots of mods available and the owners forum is very active with meets and advice etc, a bit like on here.
Great to drive, a bit like a large go kart, very tyre sensitive apparently (preferably expensive ones), I think sports cars look better in silver but still not sure about red seats yet.
The problem with having a rag top and a bike(s) + a camper van + dog is which one to use on a nice day/w/end, since the trip to wales my wife is a lot happier to be out on the bike and it is much easier to get around on a bike down here in the summer but it is also nice to blast across dartmoor etc in the car with the roof down, I know Reg has the same decisions to make but we don`t always get it right.

Al an interesting little rag top. Get the roof down and enjoy the sun whenever you can.
I put the roof down on my car as long as it is above 6deg ambient, below that the heater struggles to keep me warm, but on warm sunny days a bike is usually preferred.

Reg, are you actually saying you'd prefer to be mis-sold an unreliable vehicle?

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Rear wheel drive, but mid engined I would imagine -- that is to say engine in front of the rear wheel axle - I like that mass in the middle feeling.boxerscott wrote:Looks quite sporty, is it rear engine and rear wheel drive? Fun.
The only car in popular memory to work properly with the challenged rear engine configuration is the Porsche 911 and it's derivatives ... IMHOP

I'll always remember what Derek Bell once said about the 911 - 'It handles in spite of its design, certainly not because of it'.GRAgusta wrote:

My ex-Boss has one (a 2001 Carrera) and I got the chance to have a decent drive of it last year. Lovely car but despite knowing that the foibles of its forebears have largely been eradicated, I still wouldn't trust it. Saying that I'd still have one over any Ferrari.
Hillman Imp..... Poor mans PorscheGRAgusta wrote:The only car in popular memory to work properly with the challenged rear engine configuration is the Porsche 911 and it's derivatives ... IMHOPboxerscott wrote:.

Spot on, same layout as the MGf but without the practicality of a boot, only storage is behind the seats so travelling light is the only way.Rear wheel drive, but mid engined I would imagine -- that is to say engine in front of the rear wheel axle
