A 1200s and a hp2s is as much a sports bike as your blade and a s1000rr. In fact the hp2s was based on a actual race bike as opposed to a street bike made into a racer. Modifying and improving bikes has been going on for years. Look at the first cafe racers. Some people will always want to improve their bikes both looks wise and performance wise. I make no bones about my passion for the boxer engine. It's quirky, I like quirky. It's a challenge to improve them and get every last bit of performance. You stick with your B&Q drain pipe performance mods and let the tuners do their thing!!!
All the best

Ok ok Gus, wind yer neck in. My wizard-wheeze B+Q drainpipe mod' seems to have struck a nerve with you mate. Telling point is; I've still got me 11s. Love+kisses. Nick.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.
Slightly ot , did you ever run the bike with the drain pipes , I can't find the original thread..

Hi Nigel. Yes I did fit them and tried 'em for the first time last Saturday on the Welsh Weekend run. Sad to say I didn't notice any difference. However I'd left the inlet trunking off and that caused it to make the most glorious induction roar.
