There's a timer relay you can buy - which operates other equipment by pressing an existing switch for 2 secs (typ)

Could be that?

Thanks Nick i just read the instructions i'm realy confused now, or is it thanks Al i'm realy confused now did i read the instructions or the confusions when did the high beam switch become the indicator cancell switch

Try this mate.

It looks like pre CAN-BUS (94-05) you can use the TSCB. Post 05 (CAN-BUS) it's wired into the H/light switch.

I'm not sure i like the idea of holding a spring loaded switch for 40 seconds i think a better idea would be to either wire them to a permanant ignition switched live or to wire them via a relay to the dip beam

Are you sure you havn't miss-read the instructions Dai? I thought you only needed to do that once, during setup, should it be decided to change from '1-tap'(pulse) to '2-tap' operation. :wink:
