I see expense in my future .....
My daughter, Lianne, has decided she now wants to do her CBT .... so I guess I'll be searching for a cheap 125, if anyone here has such a thing let me know

It wasn't long ago that we were in the same place.

I bought a brand new YB125 on interest free credit, Jenny used it for 8 months. I gave it back to Yamaha as the deposit on the XJ6. The YB for that period cost me £400.
I thought that was ok. She had a brand new bike and it cost me less than I spent on booze.

I can definitely recommend the CBF125 if you're after a 125.
Did 32k miles on mine in 2.5 years and it was 100% reliable. It was caned everywhere and just took it, regular servicing and it was fine, no problems at all.
Never less than 100mpg and the best bit was I paid £1800 for it brand new, sold it 2.5 years later with 32k on the clock for a grand. Not sure you could do that with many used bikes, never mind new ones.
Just make sure It's on decent tyres, the OEM Indian jobbies are horrendous.
