BCR RV52BWA

Post by exoticices »

Looking around at boxers and wondered if anyone knows anything about a Randy BCR, RV52BWA, that's up for sale at a dealers? Coming up to 30,000 miles which I suppose isn't a problem on these engines but still seems a big number!

Would anyone with a service/owners book know if a major service is due around this mileage?

Just run in at 30K

Major service should have been done at 24K.

Its due a std service at 30K (Oil, filter. Valve check, diags, TB sync)

No biggie (unless your paying main dealer prices !)

Thanks Dave. I don't want to pay main dealer prices! I'm a big fan of independents. The bike is supposed to have a fsh so I'll see if I can get a test ride and check the paperwork.

You can always bring it here for a proper service
Not sure where you are in the Midlands, but if you can get a test ride and can pop it round I'll run diags and give it the once over FOC before you buy.....

That's really good of you Dave. I'm in the darkest Black Country, so it'd be a nice little run up to Belper, I may well take you up on the offer. I'm loosing sleep at the moment between an R12S (top of my meagre budget), a BCR (near the top of my meagre budget), or an R11SS (nice price)! I've had a 12S before and there's one local that's very tempting but I fancy trying the BCR to see what it's like and how it compares.
