Cat code plug bridging????
Here goes i have nearly sent myself round the bend with this i have used the search here and google,
Have been looking for most of today and still am not sure where to start also the yellow box ccp seems to fit in two positions EDIT have just had a closer look and it will only fit in one
i think 30 _ 86 is the one to start with but am not sure or do i start without plug and suck it and see
Not after more performance just feel it could run sweeter and be more economical [about 8 mile to the litre]
Spec of bike
1999 R1100S
Accelerator cable
Y piece standard cans lambda sensor in place [not sure if it works]
Rocket sprockets
Free breathing inlet
Val singleton mod
Over to you
Thanks dai

Is the "accelerator cable" not already spoofing your fuel module - that the air temp/density is low/high - and hence adding fuel throughout the range?
(apologies if that is not what you have fitted)
Will the plug mod not do similar, and compound your consumption?
8m/ltr is a bit shy of what I consider to be the norm (10m/ltr) for most bikes in normal use.
I'd ditch the accel cable, and fit a Techlusion unit as a reasonable expense (without going the full-bifter and getting a PowerCommander).

If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........
See if that works .....

Your spot on about the accel cable the bike runs fine under load and will pull hard from 2000 revs in top on a flat road two up, it just feels a bit off on a fixed throttle hard to explain not vibey but just not quite right, plugs look as good as they get with unleaded
Think i will try the ccp out also the 30-86 mod then try a car type lambda sensor [wider band not so switch like]
Throttle balance is spot on valves spot ot cam endfloat spot on. New coil fitted when the bike was rebuilt when i got it 3 years ago The other thing is the used barrel & piston i fitted to the left side still had honing marks showing so could not be run in [thats how it feels like it's not run in]
It could be that they all feel like it it does feel better than any other oilhead boxer twin that i have ridden R & RS [only three]
I was just hoping that with the 8 fueling maps in the motronic one would sort out the steady speed thing
Could just keep away from motorways i suppose i don't like them and nor does the bike [it could be trying to tell me something]
Techlusion unit good call i will look out for one if all else fails
Cheers dai

You could be right probably best to leave it as it is
as i said it pulls far stronger than the others i have ridden, there again it's also a fair bit lighter and they were both stock bikes with boxes and panniers fitted
Edit: On a recent trip to the lake district A449 most of the way [when the hall sensor went on way home] some of the comments i got from my traveling companions were Steve, GSX 14"Old mans bike be f#####"
Trundle 900 diversion'S "Where the hell did you come from i was red lining it in every gear?"
And lets not forget the two lads on Fazer 1000'S
#1 "A little puff of black smoke then you were gone!"
#2 "Bl@@dy hell that handles well!"
This was before the rocket sprockets were fitted the bike will now pull a gear higher for a given speed
Apart from the hall sensor going the only downside was me having to stop twice for fuel when everyone else just pushed on leaving me to catch up
Not that i minded i prefer to ride on my own or with Trundle we have done so many miles together over the years we know what the other is about to do
Extra performance is not needed!!

I have no experience of the fuel-fudge cables, but one of the things I noticed with fitting a PC3 or a Techlusion - is that the on/off throttle response was smoothed out significantly by each of those controllers.
Going back to an R1100s without those - brought it home to me again.

Keep an eye out for one of the modified fuel tanks Dai, it'll give you more range
In all honesty i need a break every 100 miles or so

... spade terminals wired together..
get a piece of 3 core mains cable.. male spades on one end.. into ccp hole,
feed cable out
female spades on other.. make jumper leads.. can change settings and see what suits without pulling panels off
Allows to switch between stage 2 and 3.
Cheers.
