It is what we were talking about - and yes I'm hoping it'll be worth it in the long run. Doesn't feel like it at the moment though!

3rd time I've had this op now and this has been by far the worst (surgeon found 2 hernias on the same side) getting a bit fed up now tbh as I'm not even allowed to lift a full kettle.

Thanks Greg - I'm usually ok when feeling ill (ie before hosptial) but once 'fixed' and convalescing I'm such an impatient b*gger and usually end up over-doing things, but this time the surgeon has read me the riot act to take it easy. These things are an occupational hazard many professional wind instrument players suffer from though unfortunately (as well as liver failure lol!). Can't walk much further than 100yds or so at the moment.

At least the weather's not condusive to motorcycling - that storm we had on thursday was outrageous!

Thanks Phil - although a wine glass is lighter still (although I'm not supposed to be drinking with these pain killers sshhhh!).
