Soon to be an HP2 Sport Owner

Post by frankh »

Hi, Well finally put a deposit on a 2009 HP2 Sport today, have had a couple of R1100S and a couple of R1200S in the past, can't wait. Are there many more HP2 owners out there ??

Are you in the UK, Frank?
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......

Well what's it like??? I have never ridden one, but I'm sure it will be fantastic.

I love it....but it's only done 500 mile so waiting to get the first service out the way before I can open it up a bit. Already though it's bringing a smile to the face. It's more tractable, much nimbler and more 'instant' than the 12S. Mirrors are good for admiring your elbows (s1000r mirror mod in the offing apparently), same level of comfort as the s1000r, best get it covered in venture shield or protective film of a sort especially the front of the belly pan....
Once off idle it's the best feeling boxer I've had, smoother than i expected and pulls rather nicely, likewise gearbox is very un BMW (except into first when stationary) nice click click changes, suspension is firm but supple etc etc....

Like I said I love it :)

And it's just as nice to stand with a cuppa and look at. Have fun when you get yours.
