Those chrome (or whatever they're made of) clock surrounds - does anyone know if they're removable?? I want to paint mine black that's all.

Took mine off ages ago to unbling.
Get a little screw driver under the chrome lip and lift.
They are held on with double sided tape.

Me too, you can just leave them off, no need for black paint.
Here's a pic of one on and one off.

So are you going to sell the spare chrome bits on e-bay then? Someone's bound to give you £20 for them
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

is that the standard rev counter face stempy???
the one on the Rockster is crap - it's got light green numbers on it which are impossible to read in half light or under sodium lights.

There's a place I've used in Hounslow. If you're interested, I'll dig up the contact info for you. PM me your requirements and I can have an initial chat with the fellas there on my way to/from work one day.
Cheers,
Paul
