Steel Braided Hoses
Has anybody fitted these to their bike, if so can you tell me the lenght of the hoses (taking only a single hose is used)
Cheers,
Andrew

When I knew nothing, having just purchased my S, I ordered a kit of Goodrich hoses that came to replace the existing OE pipes. Hence the measurements quoted earlier.andrew s wrote:
Lloyd, why did you go for the 2 piece and not single hoses?
A two line system followed when the AP calipers were fitted but I didn't quote those as the caliper inlet are in a slightly different position affecting the required length. I can go and measure them if you want ??

Andy, why did you go for that option with the hoses?
Lloyd, I just thought, I have a Wilber shock on the front that is shorter than the standard, what is the best way to measure to get the right lenght hose.
Feel free to help out as well Andy, need your know how.

Reading the above, makes me curious why no-one seems to mention the ABS. Has everyone junked theirs? Or am I the only lucky buyer of a used bike to have one. I am thinking about the unecesary weight it provides, as I have never had one before. Is it really worth having? If not, anyone want to buy it - and why!
cheers

Andrew,
I have the good fortune to know the guy who owns PDQ Motorcycle Developments so I just bowled up one day and put my bike on the ramp and made them myself I do not have ABS so it was a fairly simple task.
If yours is not ABS I could measure the hoses and get a costing for a set if you like.

Hi Bob,
That would be great if you could get a price. I would like stainless bango's and fittings if possible.
I do not have ABS, but have a Wilber Race Shock on the front which is slightly shorter. I need to dig out the lenght and get back to you with the size.
Hi Oyster,
I can not comment on ABS as I only had a GS with it fitted. I personally do not see the point.
