Having overhauled my front calipers, it looks like i maybe in for another set of front discs, will use the racing ones not the OEM pup..
I know that BMW have a love affair with loctite, but has anyone put back the front disc bolts without loctite on the threads??? Is there frequent tightening, that would be no biggy as i service every month.. So whats the score, as i hate loctite appart from on the pivot threads..

I've never used Loctite on the front disk bolts, and they've never come loose - not necessary IMHO

BMW use loctite to cover their arses not necessarily because it's needed.

I've done about 65k in the last couple of years and only ever had the calipers off to change the pads or the front tyre. I've not torqued them up and they've never been a problem.

Mine seem to produce their own 'Rust-tight' to keep themselves from falling out
