What's The Best Sounding Exhaust For The R1100S?

Post by Phaedrus »

IIUC, most folk like to replace the cat with a Remus Y-piece, and replace the BMW cans with something else.

Assuming replacing the cat with the Y-piece and replacing the BMW cans with [whatever brand] will all yield some sort of free-er breathing and possibly a little more power without causing any problems (either short or long term), what sounds do you guys prefer?

I think this sounds great:

Aparrently he's removed the "intake pipes", so maybe it's the intake noise that I'm liking rather than the exhaust noise?

I'm still in love with my Laser Race cans (with Y piece & chip).

Apologies, I don't have a sound file, but all my neighbours (from blocks away) love it...especially in the early hours.

That was what I was thinking when I was replying. Add the 'Tunes and we have all the decent exhaust for the S covered. :P

I've got a used set of R1100S Two Brothers Racing cans for sale. I was going to put them on ebay in a few weeks, but if anyone might be interested just let me know.

In terms of the price I have no idea, which is why I was going to ebay them.

Standard silencers with Laser Y sections sounds pretty good.
I now have the full Laser but had only the Y section initially, sounded good.
