my fuel light's just come on.

Got a technical query? Found another 0.02bhp? Ask/tell the world.

and before the wags say fill 'er up, it came on about 10 mins AFTER i filled up (and even i'm not that heavy on the throttle).
is this a 'real' problem, or possibly a 'warning, pleeze go to ze neerest autorized dealer'
or a pull plugs off and wd everything

took a 1600 mile trip to ze fatherland, seems to have cured it, and it comes on at 140 miles rather than 100 like it used to.

that'll be because (on the continent) the bike will be recording the distance in kilometres, ahem.
'Hinterachsge' translates as 'rear axle'.(Not 'Differential', so f*** off)

That will be because Comntinental fuel still has sulpher in it. The BMW owner Club (Slippers and Pipes at 10 paces) Had some articles about it about 6 years ago. The old boys were questioning why their Uber cruisers were getting more MPG loaded up with luggage and the wife when touring europe than when they went out Weekend riding without wife and luggage. Turns out it because, surprise surprise our fuel, whilst it's the most expensive, is Cr*p.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

I concur with POB, mine did the same thing. had a new sender fitted under warranty, but not too hard to get at if you are handy on the spanners.
