Are you Barry Scott??

your best bet is to get an extended test ride from your local bm stealer, and then see what they offer you for your "not very popular, we'd struggle to sell that, no call for 'em y'see" bcr. And then i'll offer you a £100 more and jobs a good'n

And it is rude to write in caps. It is considered shouting.

Sorry Steve, that was just my ham fisted attempt at humourously pointing out that the dealers will offer you next to bugger all for it,( note to self " I must not post after coming in from the pub  " ) Having said that, I have always wanted a mamola bcr, I think they look stunning, I will probably have one one day, but not for now, I'm enjoying my 1200s far to much :D

Cheers

I owned a Boxer Cup for 3 years and bloody loved it.
Ive ridden a number of K1200 models and favourites were:
K1200s, then K1200r Sport then K1200r.

The engine is a peach and can catapult you forward in real style however it's certainly not teh all-rounder that the BCR is. I found it uncomfortably hard suspension wise, found the seating position to be uncomforatble after approx 45 mins, with a strange position on the bars.

Put it this way, I test rode all the K1200's then bought an R12 s

Horses for courses though, as steve says you cant beat a lengthy test ride.

What's your BCR worth? Any pics?

no problems boxered i completely understand what you mean about dealers offering sod all part ex...and the money difference between part ex and price for a k1200r is the factor to wheather it warrants losing the r1100ss...i have know idea what my bike is worth..its an 03 single spark boxercup with about 13000 miles on... :?

Steve

How could you possibly bring yourself to part with that beautiful machine. Looks in lovely condition.

If you miss the sports bike thing that much, and you have the space, keep the BCR and spend the extra money you would have had to fork out for a K1220R on a nice second hand sportsbike.

That way you have the best of both worlds :D :D
