noticed today a very small amount of brake fluid around the rear brake master cylinder where the rubber pipe from the reservoir joins it.managed to get my hands on a new seal and length of pipe(which had a small split in it.)rebuilt the whole thing, then the fun started.
the bike has abs servo brakes and can i bleed them
can i the hell
i now have no rear brake pedal pressure and when i start the bike the general warning light(! in a triangle) and the abs warning light flash alternate.
been bleeding the stupid thing all afternoon to no avail
feel like takin it to the dealer to sort out,
but i know he will

On early ABS, the ABS pump had to be bled first; rearward bleed nipple on unit - under the tank. Then the calliper. I suspect it might be the same for servo units.

My bike is pre servo brakes but some info here

The servo reservoirs may need topping up ? They're independent from the master cylinders.

I seem to remember a post on here recently about how easy it is to bleed the ABS servo brakes. He gave instructions about how to do it as well!!

It was from the guy who is always going on about how the R1200S is not a sport tourer.

You've emptied the rear servo unit of brake fluid. The servo brakes aren't bled in the same way as other brake systems.

Hi Northern boxer have sent you the email

bled the brakes today, turned out to be a doddle once you know what your doing

after removing bodywork and tank,

1/ top up master cylinder reservior
2/ undo bleed nipple on abs unit
3/ pump brake lever,keeping eye on fluid level in master cylinder reservior,tighten bleed nipple when no more air bubbles
4/ undo bleed nipple on caliper and turn on ignition,press brake lever,servo forces brake fluid out of bleed nipple,this time keep an eye on fluid level on abs unit.(allen key cap).when no air bubbles tighten nipple.

only problem is that the abs unit has 6 bleed nipples,dont know which one does which,i just bled the whole lot (front and back brakes)

now very happy with the result,all new brake fluid,rock hard lever and pedal and no flashing abs/warning lights
