Datatool help

Post by Bruno »

I've got a datatool 3 alarm fitted to my 2002 S. It's just started making a weird chirping sound. Not quite the arming sound and not the alarm sounder. It the key fob is used to dissable the alarm the sound stops but restarts after 30 secs or so. I'm at work, bike's at home.
Any brilliant suggestions for a quick fix (not including T****ing implements) on a longer term repair. I don't fancy unpicking the loom really, although I realise that alarms can be a source of unreliability.

Hi Mark, try this solution
http://www.datatool.co.uk/pdfs/system3_ds.pdf
can you put it into service mode for now? it'll still beep every 30 secs or so though. OR is it in service mode now?? that could be the answer!

Cheers Steve,
I'll try that, before I get lynched. I keep meaning to take the bloody thing off, but it seems to know just how far to push me before it starts to behave again. I should just stop it's pocket money and send it to its room.

Happy Easter
