OK chaps, finally got the chip from the states (hope it's not been wiped by the XRAY machines )
After installing it are there any adjustments to be made regarding the plug thingy in the left side plastic box. I keep seeing references to this depending on what mods have been done/ignition maps. Does the laser chip require this?

I assume you mean the cat code plug. Some bikes have them and some don't. Mine never had one from new. If it's there then take it out, if it's not there don't worry.

Having been through the chip thing I reckon the best mod is to leave everything standard and fit a fuel pressure regulator from a K1200RS. The dyno and fuel\air analysis said so as well.
