Hi All
Ive had my 1200s for a few months now and I thought I'd say hello.
Its quite a change from my previous K1200R but I am getting to grips with the changes in power delivery, oh and its so much lighter
I live just outside Basingstoke and I have seen a silver R1200S coming up the road from Overton, anyone on this site.
It was like that when i got here

Welcome subby, why not join us in April for our Spring meet in North Wales. Look for details in the Days Out section.
I am sure you will be more than welcome to join in some Boxer Bo**ox.

Is it the faster red & silver one or another colour?
There are a few of us down south so hopefully will see you out and about this year

Hi Andrew
Thanks for the welcome, Wales sounds great, never been on a bike before but everyone who has says the riding great.
Hi Dave
Yes I have the silver and red one, had quite a job getting hold of one from the dealers with all the bits and the right colour.
I will keep an eye for you, where do you ride?

Hi Again,
I am up in North Wiltshire near J17 M4 so tend to either go north into the Cotswolds, East along the A4 or south down the A350 and all points in between.
PaulR will no doubt be along soon who also has a Colgate 1200 and we have met up in Salisbury a couple of times and headed off to WestBay etc. I am sure we will arrange some more days out in the Spring. Now 3 Colgates on a rideout is going to turn a few heads
Cheers for now
Dave

Sorry Ian, only just spotted this thread
I'm down in Denmead in Hampshire, not too far from Basingstoke. My R1200S has been tucked away for a while over winter (I've been using my 1150GS), so I can't wait to get out on it soon.

Hi Ian
I'm just up the road near Benson. My R1200 S has a G in it, but that doesn't seem to hold it back...
I'll sort another run to Lymington come spring, or you could come up to Benson/Dorchester one Sunday to meet some of the others.
Cheers
Alan

Try Bassett's Pole on any Tuesday in the spring/summer and you'll see dozens of same bike/same colour schemes. Usually Gixxers or Blades though
