'Cos my speedo sensor has gone all squirrly <tech term>
anything between 40 and 70mph has the needle waving around like the participants at an "accessible" disco.

Has my sensor gone t!ts up?
is it likely to be a short in the wiring?

any ideas

This seems to be quite common as I'm sure loads of people will tell you on here.

One fault is that the wire running from the rear speed sensor goes into a connector just up under the seat, from whence it takes a very sharp right turn and seems to fail after some time. In my case, a simple 'connector bypass' by stripping and connecting then wrapping in insulating tape (the yellow wire I think) had it back to normal.

There are cases of the castelated speed sensor ring in the diff comming loose too but the 'swinging about' seems excatly what I had
