Post by das bike u1100s »

having fitted a lindenburg pipe, did away with the ballast (cat ) nailed on a K & N filter, just purchased a lennie induct but yet to fit. will the lamba probe handle all this meddling or should i take out recovery?

Ive ditched the Lambda probe on my bike after having her dynoed.

The Tuner at the dyno center told me that the main purpose of the Lambda probe is to weaken the mixture at idle so as not to damage the CAT and also for lower emissions.

The graph on the dyno showed that at idle the mixture was going really weak with the Lambda(Which is the idea) but no real use for a tuned bike.

Its probably a good idea to have your fueling checked after mods as you dont want it runnning lean on WOT , although the boxers are more known for running rich if anything.( Apart from at idle)

Ive not got a lennies just race pipe and Y piece, chip and K & N. My fueling was spot on at all other throttle openings, the Lennies will definately allow more air flow but the Motronic should compensate, SHOULD being the word.
