Howdy do.

Post by Vince »

Hello, thought I'd have a nose about.

I do have R1200S, but it has an extra `T' added as well, It's one of those soon to be rare wierd looking ST's Hope I'm welcome.

It's me 1st Beemer after owning/using (and still do for my commute to work) a VFR750 FT, currently 0n 88,000 miles from when I bought it new.

I'm hoping the ST will do the same mileage as reliably as my VFR has.

Catch yer later

Hi Vince,
welcome to the forum. Great bunch this lot. The 1200ST is a great bike to ride a bit quirky in looks but I think it grows on you. We had one for a spell but couldn't justify having 3 bikes in the garage so we sold it.
Anyway welcome

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Vince. As long as it floats your boat, it doesn't really matter what others think about the way the R1200ST looks. Welcome to the board and come and join the banter.

cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Thanks ppl, I do water proof gear, however I am hoping not to fall overboard.

Actually the bike looks kinda grow on you after a while (and when you realise the moneys gone)
And once in the saddle you can't see the front of the bike, lights are good for seeing where your going regardless of how they look from the front.

I've always fancied summit different, and have been eying up BMW boxers for a while and after owning the VFR for nearly 13 years.
I can recall many a time almost getting on the wrong red VFR at the local Honda meets 7 or 8 years ago.

Chances of getting on the wrong bike now in the bike park should be pretty small

Mmm... What's with the BB addition of the asterix in the word H0nda?

Here we go, a pic of mine, Obviousley that's not me riding in my avatar
