Bloody Shunt

I'm getting a little tiny bit of shunt on/off throttle at medium revs - much like when it goes to idle at low speed. Could this be the throttles needing balancing? They've not been done for about 45k

Hopefully it's not the lambda probe? John pointed out his pickup was much sharper and cleaner at the weekend (his is chipped and has 80k less miles though!).
Anyone in the area have a twinmax and know how to use it, and wouldn't mind showing/helping me please?

Hi Jason
You haven't balanced e'm in 45k you are jokeing!!!!,bloody hell i'm amazed it runs at all.
Twin Max?? a doddle just read the clues that come with it,tightening the throttle cable adjuster without upsetting the balance is the only problem.

Jason, mine is getting more and more surgy on/off throttle.I think it is either the TPS or worn throttle bodies(which I hear is quite common on high mileage bikes).
Trouble is...I'm too bleedin' lazy to sort it....if it ain't broke.....!
Let me know what you find.

Bailey - I'm of the same mind with the 'if it ain't broke...' I've finally got up the nerve and will do the clutch in the next couple of weeks but as for the injection systems, I reckon I'm sure to brake it!
The surging isn't too bad it's just anoying cos it feels like it's out of my control some of the time. Probably as you say though, just wear and tear on the old girl. I'll balance the throttles if I can get hold of a lend of a twinmax and might pop it round the corner to the local bloke in a shed in his garden for a 2nd opinion
Chris - ehh yea, last time they were balanced was in Melbourne I think. I'd hate to ride mine and yours for comparison purposes mate - you'd probably piss yourself laughing at the way mine rides nowadays
