Hello from Chorley

I'm Ali (Alison). Just joined your site today on the recommendation of a biker friend, Pab. He said you were a friendly bunch. I live in Lancashire. I haven't got a BMW R1100S or R1200S ... but I might one day.
I do love motorbikes though, so I hope you'll accept me as a member. I was brought up with bikes. I've been to the TT quite a few times and the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix are my particular favourites.
I enjoy going on ride-outs, although the furthest I've been is Ireland (Southern and Northern). I would like to venture further afield in the future.
I ride an SV650 at the moment, is that ok for now?
Basically, I'm at my happiest when I'm riding my bike. What more can I say?
Cheers,
Ali

Welcome Ali,

Go on, buy an 1100/1200S now so you can really join in the fun here.

Hi Ali,

welcome on board. No worries about the Suzuki, it's got the right number of cylinders at least

Cheers,

Thanks for the welcome.
It's PBBoxer who's to blame for me joining the forum by the way.
I've had a look at some of the threads and it looks like you're well organised. Hope to meet up soon. :D

Welcome Ali
Like Steve says, get yourself to Wales!
Last year we were blessed with great weather and some of the Southerners even drank proper beer instead of shandy.

I think you'd have a great time if you came along. I think Vanessa and Crispin should be coming too (Vanessa from Burnley)

Cheers Nessy.
Thanks for the welcome. It'd be good to meet up at last.
Is Crispin long term poorly? I hope he's well very soon anyway.
What do you both ride?

We were all there once, and me not too long ago.

Welcome to the board Ali. Hope to see you in Wales - I'll be there with my wife Hannah, and she doesn't ride a BM either! She'll be there on her bright green Triumph - she's an ex SV650S owner too - I think Keith's wife Laura has an SV as well.

Because I didn't have a BMW motorcycle, I felt like a bit of a fraud when I joined the forum.
Now, I feel much more at home.
Thank you for making me welcome.
:D
I'm gonna try and get to the Wales weekend now. But my hubby is working. If he can't get the time-off, can I come on my own? .... Maybe I should ask him first, eh?
