Colgate 12S Helmsley Sat 17th

Post by Me-109 »

Early/Mid-afternoon in the company of a 600 Bandit. Anyone?

Didn't see it until they both pulled out to go.

Quite a few GSs about too - 1150s and 1200s I noticed. One MPY 1150GS(A?) passed me heading to Helmsley going at a fair lick, though I was in bimble mode myself. Two on the Bilsdale road with a G650 in tow as I was returning.

t'was me, 'Me' :P Was that your not quite red 1100s I sure on a 'T' plate? Sorry I missed the opportunity for a yack.

Will surely see you again soon. Watch out for that Bilsdale run though, all the weekend onlys will take your line on corners coming the other way. No wonder there's been a few too many fatalities. :?

Nope, W-plate Mandarin, not red. Parked up near the hotel rather than in the main area. I tend to do that these days.

One time when the wardens were hot on charging you I parked up across the road when there were only a Fila 999 and an 1100 Kat in the m/c bays. Car reverses out of nearby space and knocks both over! Typically it was two Polish farm workers in the car. Police were straight on the scene as they happened to come round the mini-r/a as the bikes were laid on the deck. Left my details as a witness but no-one ever got back to me. It's anyone's guess whether they had insurance or not.

So I tend to park out of the way now.
