Quick check of the DVLA site, B12DOS (yellow bolt will change B to a R) is for sale @ £399 - but to look "right" will have to be on a single line, which is illegal

- think carefuly before buying, when you change your bike whats the plate worth if its not on a R1200S ? (ans. 35p)

Too right............... if it keeps going up - it'll be worth as much as the bike
Not worth paying that for a plate that is model-specific.

That plate (R12D0S) was available direct from DVLA last year for £250 inc transfer fee. I nearly bought but as a single line plate is illegal I thought better of it.

This is an absolute outrage officer! Its getting so that you can't leave your motorcycle parked in a public place for 5 minutes without some pesky kids putting a 'smiley' on your number plate. I'm just glad you were so kind to pull me over and let me know. Thankfully it looks like it just peels off so that I may continue on my way. And they say that the police just victimise us motorcyclists and here you are proving how wrong that is. Thank you.

Brilliant

Mate had reg number S4 DME (Sad Me) on his goldwing, did it for a laugh, the guy who bought it from him seemed more interested in the plate rather than the bike which I think was a little sad
