Was the £14 well spent? I thought the event lacked somewhat. It was a reduced, calorie trimmed version of NEC. But better than last year. A lot of clothing stalls, some excellent reductions in Triumph branded gear - selling fast; lots of helmets but not many good prices there. I was suprised to see some of the smaller companies, I heard someone describe that it was cheaper to run a stall at Milan with all the incurred costs than to do Excel. Not sure about that, but Excel cant be cheap. Milan is probably why only Ducati has ventured over here. The four japs, KTM, Harley and BMW are the sum of the bike manufacturers and only a few of the Carole Nash specials. There's a bike rental outfit that will do unlimited mileage all insured on a GS, 7 days at £400ish.
I still enjoyed it.

I'm going Saturday,.. might bump into you 'Cockney Types' there, .. but as we don't know what any of of us look like, .... it'll just be a 'sorry mate',. and on yer way. Ah,. the wonders of the Internet.

I thought it wasnt too bad. smaller and better than last year. As oyster said no discounts till Sunday.

That HP2 Sport really does look gorgeous. Now if I only had 14 grand  to spare!....

Also met up with 6 other enduro africa riders so it was a good evening all round.

Chris - what was the motor you delivered then? and do you know D. & B. at Thundersport ?

This was one of the more interesting concept bikes there. Perhaps the one Winger delivered?
It's spec read about the same as the jet engined bike of a few years ago, 220+ mph; 200+ BHP; almost all carbon. Strange drive system. Looked very appealing. It merited a permanent security guard next to it. 'Dont get too close, Sir!'

Went to Excel today for the first time - not too impressed. Cost me £30 as I went by car - not sure if I was able to go so did not buy ticket in advance.

Did not buy a thing although I meant to have. Drove away in car and remembered that I was going to buy a Forcefield back protector. Not especially cheap at £79 but thought what the heck how much does a new back cost.

Anybody from SE London or Kent going over the weekend and fancy buying one for me? I will give you the funds when I see you. If so then it is from the Infinity stand and it is the Pro L2 size large.

I am working over the weekend so may not be able to respond until Monday sometime.

Cheers
