just fitted my new autocom to the bike .everything seemed to going great right up to the point when i tried it out.Nothing, not even a hiss of static .the led lights up to show the unit is getting power but nothing else works,no voice or music .anybody any ideas
Positioning of the earphones is very critical with the autocom system. If they are not centred directly over your ear canal, you will hear b*gger all. Which model Autocom do you have?
Cheers,
Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
paul, its the super pro avi duo.
like i said, the power light is on but there is absolutely no sound through the headset.not a hiss or anything.can the position of the speakers be that critical?.
I have the Super Avi Pro on the FJR. It always takes around 30 seconds or so to 'warm up' before any sounds come through. In use I don't notice this, but you do have to wait.
When fitting mine, I also noticed that it needs a well charged battery, (Or the engine running) or the light comes on, but there is no sound. I'd drained the battery during my 'fiddling' testing connecting a Garmin 2610
