Sorry to hear about that to Daz. Hopefully it will either make a rapid return to you unharmed, or it's iconic status will result in a generous insurance payment to cushion the pain a little. If you need to recruit a gang of heavy set blokes to form an angry mob, I'm in
cheers,

You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
yep, same here...
i hope you either get her back asap or a decent insurance payout...but i know how you feel i had a bike nicked once from me....
i feel sorry for you...and lets they can trace te thieving a**holes.
The Power of Dreams comes true for me...

No more BMW just XR400R and CBR1000RR & Dark side - Buell Uly XB12X (and black is the fastest one!)
Untill you've gone to were your bike should be and realise your bikes been nicked,it's a feeling that you really cannot discribe.
Commiserations dude, been there done that twice, and the bad news is,it take bloody years to wear off, either the local kids have nicked it and it'll turn up in a couple of days,or more likely it's been nicked to order,as secondhand S's drop into the bargain price range people want cheap spares, and this is what happens.
That's really bad news daz,it's never happened to me but it must make you feel that somebody's been watching your every move which they probably have but lets hope you get a good payout from the ins claim.
Haveing had your pride and joy nicked, the last thing you need is some smart arse telling you how you'll learn but you do,as i've done!!! i never leave a bike on the driveway unless i'm outside,i wouldn't dream of parking it in a public place even locked apart from a race meeting, and when we stop in a hotel,it's either in the garage or foyer entrance literally!!!,before you have one nicked you think the best of the human race after it's little different.
Sadly, I have to park the bike on the road as it is my only option (pic above is not my house). It is either lock it up outside, or don't have a bike at all (no way!). No lockups or garages in my area available either.
I might not buy another bike now 'til we move house sometime next year.
If it doesn't turn up,do you home work for the insurance, they'll make an offer,it's no good just saying 'I want more because' trawl through the adds for bikes your age and mileage and do print offs if their on the net or check the Bike Trader or MCN,the first one i had nicked was a nightmare the second, i'd got my danceing shoes on!!! and even keeped the add from when i bought it out of MCN,they just sent me the cheque for what i wanted.
I am riding in and around the bristol area everyday and we keep a look out for it as i see so few bikes about this time of year your s will stand out well.pm me your reg number if you like.

Bad luck mate, feel for you. My 1200 was nicked in March and everyone said it was stolen to order, but it turned up again in October.
If it comes to insurance payouts, do as Winger says and do your homework. The insurance offerred 8620 for mine, then 9250, then 10150. Always try to talk to teh assessor direct, especially if it's IVPR who works for carole nash or quity etc etc
Best of luck, really hope it turns up quicky for you. It's one of teh worst feelings you can have when this happens.
