There's a lengthy thread on Pelican about cornering techniques. I don't want to start it over here .... but I would like to share my contribution to that thread...
It's a video clip of me on a Assen track day being overtaken by a guy on a 30yr old Kawasaki 3 cilinder two stroke. He's showing how it's done: riding fast without making a fuzz or act like a monkey on a bike.
I'd like to think that he's an old club racer and his KH has got a Harris frame and full Ohlins and he's out at every oportunity making fun of superbike riders.
But it's more than likely modern tyres and a great talent. He'd run rings around me, that's for sure.
Can't trace his name or face, but notice how, in the second video, he's in front at the very begin ..... and NOT being passed later on. Not by the guy on the BMW, nor by the camera guy!!!!
Hey Lars i like you matey you seem a decent egg (I would never have admitted to that) i have never done assen but would like to if there was some freindly hospitality at other end?
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
apparently he's working on a 200BHP version ( at the rear wheel of course )!

Holy s*hit , (not that I could do it justice) For the engineering / machining alone I want one ...(rushes out to buy lotto ticket) . Just looking at the (undamped?) rev counter as it gets in the powerband and flies around the dial
