.....Never noticed it before, but went out for a run to Southport today.....Not to Southport Superbikes coz they're shite :P - they're closed on Mondays anyway  ....... When I started the bike up on the path this morning I blipped the throttle and the speedo went up to about 20mph and then back down to zero again. As I say I've never noticed it do this before. It didn't do it when I tried it again later at the traffic lights.

Just curious - but does anyone elses 'S' do it :?: :?: :?: :?:

No his right.
Mine threw a wobbly the other day.Riding along at 80 odd and the the thing went to 0 for about a minute then went up in increments of 10 mph until it showed right again. When i came to a standstill blipping the throttle had the thing jumping all over the place.A couple of minutes later all was well and has been since. Can anyone explain why or have we driven through a time vortex or summat like that.

Probably not the same but mine went bonkers last year - would drop to 0 then fly up and down and around like a joggers tit then it gave up completely - it was chaffed wires at the joint just under the seat. Dunno bout the blippin though - must be picking up some stray electrical pulses somewhere I suppose. That's about the extent of my knowledge with flippin electrics.

What it needs is a damned good thrashing.

The reason I actually brought this subject up, is that when I had my Fazer a while back, the speedo's acrobatics were a kind of self test thing for the electronic ignition. Just wondered if anyone knew if the BeeEm had a similar system that I'd not heard of.
