Stuttering at tickover

Morning

On these chilly mornings the bike has developed a rather rough tickover and it feels it may stall (And has done a couple of times).

Is this just a case of running through the usual idle and throttle balance maintenance (something I keep meaning to do!)

I gave it a "service" recently so the plugs, filters, oils, valve clearance are all OK ... just the balance to do.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers, Lee.

Hi
Is it fine once the bike is warm?Could be thats its taking a bit longer to get up to temp where it all smooths out.
A throttle/idle balance is always a good thing and should be carried as often as poss to avoid vibes and shitty running.

Hi Gus. Seems to happen all the time at the moment - going to give it an adjust at the weekend. Seemed to get worse since the oil change and filter clean (also changed the plugs to NGK Iridium things which may have an effect?) Anyway - let's increase the idle a little and balance it up.

Cheers, Lee.

And check that both the inlet stub caps are in place ( where the balancer hoses connect )

First prize goes to Ian ... the left hand throttle cable was out of it's seat. Got rid of the stutter - needed a bit of a balance too ... thanks again chaps.
