R1200S Lights
What is your opinion of the lights on the R1200S?
I have heard of the conversion several of you have done to lights on the 1100S. Autumn is coming, and if I go in to the office early (I am sometimes there by 7.20am) I will be regularly riding in the dark. OK, a lot of that will be on the main road from Perth to Dundee, but I might choose one of the alternative routes from time to time, which cut through the countryside. Being well into middle age, my night vision is not what it was, so if there is a brighter alternative that you would recommend, I might consider it.
Any comments?

I put these in as soon as I got the bike. No idea how big a real improvement they are over the standard R12S lights because I couldn't compare, but I'm sure they're not as good as a HID.

I was going to say that but thought it was a bit Obvious...PBBoxer wrote:Yogi Bear wrote:The standard Lights on the 1150GS were terrible but I've recently put in a 35W HID.

Winger do I understand this correctly? Have you have only used dipped headlights, never main beam, since installing HID? If so, whose HID conversion , and was it for a R1100s?winger wrote:Went HID a couple of years ago,i've never used the main since,i thought i was doing well cruising at 120 in the pitch black till, Gus came past flat on the tank doing god knows what speed.
