Oh dear, where has the blue white and red livery gone? or is that going to be another replica with an extra grand or two added on?? The new Buell rotax engined sports bike is looking better value by the minute.

Chris.

P.S thanks for photies.

The guy who did the paintjob for the K1....hasn't he been lying down in a darkened room since 1990?....seems they may have let him out.

I suspect the ones in the background are the ones that are of most interest. Seem to be gray (or black) and silver (or white).

The yellow/white with blue wheels was, I think, used for the road test bikes. They were the ones that could just be seen in the small out of focus pictures that appeared in MCN.

Note: they all have blue wheels. I don't think even BMW would do a bike in yellow and white with red striping and put blue wheels on it.

I agree with Nigel, It's interesting that the bikes in the background with the blue band on the tail piece are not shown clearly, selective leaking of the pics by BMW perhaps?

I DO like the look of that stingray-esque exhaust though :)

Guys,

They are obviously targeting the lucrative "crotch-rocket" sector of the market with this paint job:

Image

On a serious note, MCN has a picture of the bike in the traditional red white and blue colour scheme, but whether that is real or something their photoshop monkeys have imagineered, remains to be seen.

*Registering one vote against the "Stingray-esque" exhaust*

I didn't think they could come up with something uglier than the baboon's-arris-on-a-breadbin design, but they have!

The sales manager at John Clark is already trying to persuade me to order one. Never mind the extra power/whatever, I am not going to ride down the road looking a bigger idiot than I already look.

Having dissed the appearance, what are the really important things about the bike? What improvements are there?

 i was thinking more along the lines of Steve Irwins nemesis myself, but that'll do nicely.
I'm not keen on the 80's shellsuit paintjob though
