Y Piece Rubber mounts
---------------------------
Got the same problem but can't be arsed to do anything about it. In fact, to actually get the rubber bungs back in the slots means bending the rails down which in turn means putting undue stress in the exhaust coupling. So in my case i'm leaving it alone.
You could put a small jubilee clip around each support rod or may be even a dab of silicon inboard of the bung might do the trick.
I know one or two on here have cut the support rail off completely as it doesn't seem to be necessary. I think I'm right in saying that some 'Y' pieces don't have them fitted in the first place. I think the only reason BMW put the support lugs on in the first place was because the CAT weighed more than a house!
I'm sure there will be more informed comment along in a minute

Yep, I used the cable tie option as well ...
Also, on the same subject I found that the mounting bar was too wide for the mounting points so I had to spend some time machining (read "taking a large file to it") it down ...
Any one else had that? Very odd ... only a couple of mil.
Cheers, H27.

I bought my Y piece off somebody from this site about a year ago. Can't remember who it was but they worked down in Newhaven - hello.
I had no problems at all putting it on and the person thought it was a Wunderlich product.
All this talk about the rubbers working loose - better go and check mine.
