Job in the bking industry?

hi guys,
i am considering making my hobby (biking) my job and just want to ask if someone on the forum might know any openings within the motorcycle industry...i know its a long shot.
i am based in the south east.
please let me know your thoughts....

Well i've done somthing similar in the last 6 months,and the the way it works is this!!! first get a proper job earn plenty of money,pay the mortgage off,and fill your pension up and then get a job in the bike trade,assuming you know lots of people innit,cuz it's who you know,not what,and most ain't getting rich,i know a few that have,but jesus they've had to take a few risks along the way,which if things had gone wrong,they'd be living in a council house.
I have to say on the PR side there are some serious jobs if you can get your foot in the door and have a CV to back it up,i've got 11 years left and i'm just playing about,although manhandling a bike into a 4man lift last week and in the end standing it vertical was interesting!!!

If you are considering retail it will spoil your hobby within the year - you'll be sick to the back teeth of punters talking bike bollocks all day.
If you are considering marketing it will spoil your hobby within the year - you'll be sick to the back teeth of young guns spewing bullsh1t all day.
Keep the two seperate or you won't have a hobby

thanks for your comments.
i was more thinking about maybe becoming an instructor and teach more people how to ride, but i dont know what kind of salary would be realistic and i fear it would a huge cut for me at the moment.
Retail / marketing wasn't neccessary what i am looking for.
i would also be interested in getting into the track school or racing scene....but i think that might be even harder to get into.
maybe doing my instructor course would be the first step.
are there any instructors in the forum who might have some more info about the job?
if so please let me know.

Lars - I recently looked into doing this, and asked the advice of a few people who are currently instructors. Must admit, it rather put me off doing it - I've got an email somewhere in a dark corner of my computer so I'll go look for it and forward it to you, if I can find it.

My wife actually,although she always reminding me '3 scores years and 10'!!!
As for the instructor thing Hmm,if your lucky(very) 15 grand a year,i've only been riding 38 years i'm still too busy learning to worry about ever teaching anyone else.
What Boxerpan is close to the truth i'm afraid,i'm lucky,in the fact i only have to deal with the hard core,and when i'm haveing to deal with Mr Twatty,it's simple i just walk off and leave him to someone else!!!.
