Fuel Cap Flap

Post by 70tno »

Have (clumsily) managed to snap the alloy flap which covers the keyhole on the fuel cap of my 1100s and have discovered that this part is not available separately from Moto Bins and Motorworks. Have got around it by finding a second-hand cap minus lock from James Sherlock for a tenner, so just wonder how others have got around this problem, just for future reference in case I manage to do this again? Or am I the only one who has ever done this? Cheers all.

Nope - you are not alone. I recently broke mine on my GS by letting the tank bag fall back onto it when it was open. Cost me 22 quid for a replacement from Motorworks
