Can anyone tell me why K1200RS bars wold be shorter than the 1100s bars. They both use exactly the same switch gear.. Can it be Heated v Non heated grips... Does this make a difference to the length  :?:

The K doesn't have bar end weights, so that would make em about half an inch shorter.

The bar-end weights on my (standard as far as I know ) S are 50mm long. It does make the bar look unusually compared to other bikes, now you mention it.

This is what I am trying to do.... K1200rs (comfort) bars on the S... note the bar end weights

I have the std bar fittings but the h/bars are an inch too small to take the S controls.... so what bars is thisd chap using? Throttlemeister explained why the bars are shorter.. so what are these bars.

They show throttlemeister cruisecontrol bar ends (no relation to my nick :) ) They can be mounted on any bike and come with appropiate mounting hardware. Very nice stuff, had them on my previous 2 bikes, but expensive. Worth it imo, but still expensive.

Rapid... I bought the K1200RS clipons and bars and the bars seemed too short... hence this thread. I now understand that the bars must have an attachment on them to accept Throttlemeister bar ends.

Rapid from another thread.... you offered your bar backs and they are truly lovely... very professionally made and the quality looks exceptional... but I was trying to keep costs down. As per another thread, I noticed that the cost of your barbacks are 227$ on your site and £275 on the english imorters.... Thats a hell of a uplift.

In the end by the time I have spent for all the bits and pieces .. I might as well have got your b/b's in the first place.. oh well

Thanks for all your help and suggestions

The bars are very similar of the one from the K1200RS
but they are from MV (Verholen) but not more available i think
can't find them on their site
I'm interested too, because missed a set on Ebay.
